Executive Director of Berkshire South Joins CNE Advisory Board

Berkshire South Regional Community Center is proud to announce that Executive Director, Jenise Lucey, has been selected to join the Advisory Board of the Center for Non-Profit Excellence (CNE.) A program of the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation (BTCF,) the CNE offers services and resources to help nonprofit staff, boards and volunteers to “think strategically, govern effectively and operate efficiently.”

Invited to participate in the highly regarded Nonprofit Leadership Institute in 2014, Ms. Lucey was one of six individuals given the opportunity to build on leadership and management skills through this CNE collaborative, peer-learning program. The prospect of a deeper relationship with the Center for Non-Profit Excellence is exciting to Lucey. The CNE is overseen by an impressive Advisory Board of community leaders in the nonprofit world, and she looks forward to working with this accomplished group to benefit area nonprofits.

“The CNE is such a resource for nonprofits in Berkshire County,” Jenise remarks. “The trainings and seminars it presents help us all to stay current and employ best practices. I am proud to be a part of such a dynamic and impactful enterprise.” In addition to trainings and seminars, the CNE offers scholarships and free access to national databases, as well as meeting rooms to not for profit organizations without charge.

Ms. Lucey has been at the helm of Berkshire South Regional Community Center since September 2010. She joined Berkshire South two years after its inception and served as Managing Director for four years prior to assuming the directorship. Ms. Lucey looks forward to employing the professional insights gained through her participation in the Nonprofit Leadership Institute to benefit the entire Berkshire South community.

The mission of Berkshire South Regional Community Center is to build a sense of community and common purpose throughout the region, and to enhance the recreational, educational, cultural, health and social well-being of the residents of the Southern Berkshires.
