Berkshire South Regional Community Center Raises over $25,000 at Annual Gala
Great Barrington, MA – On Saturday, October 19 Berkshire South Regional Community Center (www.berkshiresouth.org) celebrated its annual community gala.
The event was monumental in that it was the 10th continuous year of showcasing the Center and celebrating community.
Honored at this year’s event were the four South County chambers; Lee, Stockbridge, Lenox and the Southern Berkshire Chamber of Commerce. They, much like the Community Center, consider the local businesses and residents critical to the prosperity of the Southern Berkshires.
The gala serves as the Community Center’s annual fundraiser helping to build community and bring awareness to the programs and services provided to the Southern Berkshires. This year the gala was redesigned offering a lower price point ticket to allow for more of the community to attend and enjoy. The evening was a great success for bringing together local businesses, neighbors and friends. The silent and live auction components of the evening brought in over $25,000. The live auction served to raise money for the Center’s Youth Intervention/Prevention Curriculum as well as the Financial Assistance Program.
Berkshire South Regional Community Center, located at 15 Crissey Road, Great Barrington, is a non-sectarian, non-profit organization open to all, regardless of ability to pay.
