Lennox Foundation Continues Major Support of Berkshire South’s Youth Intervention/Prevention Curriculum
Great Barrington, MA – The Berkshire South Regional Community Center is thrilled to announce that the Lennox Foundation has awarded a very generous contribution of $100,000 in support of our Youth Intervention/Prevention Curriculum (YIPC). This critical funding will allow the Community Center to strengthen existing programming, expand and deepen staff responsibilities and upgrade technical capabilities, for which we are extremely grateful.
The invaluable support of the Lennox Foundation over the years has enabled the Community Center a timely response to public demand and pressing community issues. Through its 2015 funding, the Lennox Foundation has ensured an in-depth and comprehensive youth internship program, utilization of the Second Step early learning curriculum for our Sunshine Preschool, and the installation of new computers with state of the art technology in support of the program. The YIPC Coordinator will be focused on programming, community collaborations, relationship building, as well as direct communication with the youth of Berkshire County and their families.
“I cannot share strongly enough how grateful we are for this support and humbled by the Lennox Foundation’s ongoing commitment to the Community Center and our work,” enthused Jenise Lucey, Executive Director of Berkshire South. “We thank the Lennox Foundation deeply for helping the Center to achieve success in service to our youth.” The Lennox Foundation’s magnanimous contribution provides stability to our intervention and prevention programs, as well as encourages support from other funding agencies which strengthens the program even further.
