Berkshire South Extends Heartfelt Thanks as it Exceeds its Year-End Goal

Berkshire South Regional Community Center would like to offer a resounding Thank You to the community for taking us beyond our year-end $82,500 fundraising goal to raise $102,849. This year, we made the following request of our constituents:

Please help us transform the typical into the triumphant. By donating to our operating fund, you will directly change the life of an individual or family. Together we will promote health and wellness for everyone in our community. Truly, we cannot do it without you!

And today we are humbled by the outpouring of support that the Center has received.

Donations were given in a variety of ways, including direct responses to our year-end appeal, contributions in support of #GivingTuesday, our annual Radio-thon, the popular Community Raffle, and the Drop a Donation in the bottle. In addition, the Center continues to identify ways to simplify giving such as a coupon in the newspaper, at our Front Desk, and easily accessible links on our website.

Jenise Lucey, Executive Director of the Center said, “This generosity will go far in helping us to continue upholding our commitment to make Berkshire South’s resources available to all,” noting that, “While membership provides a solid financial base, it is the critical 40% of funding from private donors that ultimately makes our level of programming and services possible.”

The depth of the bond between the Center and its community is evident in this strong show of annual support. Through their contributions, donors change the lives of individuals and families in their community for the better. Each gift’s positive outcomes are immediately felt and directly beneficial to everyone involved.

Berkshire South’s mission is to build a sense of community and common purpose throughout the region and to enhance the recreational, educational, cultural, health and social well-being of the residents of the Southern Berkshires. Berkshire South Regional Community Center is a non-sectarian, non-profit organization open to all, regardless of ability to pay.
