Over 220 Community Members Served at Community Thanks Supper
GREAT BARRINGTON – Berkshire South Regional Community Center (BSRCC) held its 5th annual Community Thanks Supper on Tuesday, November 20, 2012. The event was free and open to the public. This year was a great success serving a record number of community members from South County and beyond. Over 220 people were served a traditional Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings. “The event was a beautiful exhibit of what it means to build community”, said Jenise Lucey, Executive Director.
The evening also featured performances by BSRCC’s Berkshire Ukulele Band (led by Rob Sanzone) and Berkshire Sings! (led by Robert Kelly). Both Berkshire Ukulele Band and Berkshire Sings! are free programs open to the public by Berkshire South Regional Community Center.
Local Chef Jeff Schilling from the Berkshire Co-op Market prepared the meal which was generously supported by Price Chopper’s Golub Foundation. Pies were donated by NBT Bank, which also provided volunteers for the event. BSRCC would also like to thank Mahaiwe Tent for their support and the 40 volunteers for their time and efforts.
