Action Adventures Out-of-School
Kindergarten-age 14. Action Adventures Out-of-School emphasizes the belief that children’s capabilities and the freedom to express their individuality build a life-long foundation for excellence and success. Children are encouraged to discover their own talents as a way of empowering themselves and others. Throughout the program, hands-on activities in the areas of Science, Technology, the Arts, Engineering, and Math are offered.  Financial Assistance is available and state vouchers are accepted. Monthly advanced registration and payment required for all Action Adventures programs.

After School at Berkshire South
Monday – Friday, School dismissal – 6 p.m.
This enriching after school program provides quality, state-licensed care for school age children. Each afternoon includes homework time, physical activities, arts and crafts, as well as free time under the supervision of a mature, nurturing and creative staff. Students enrolled full-time receive 25% off enrichment programs.

Members $14 Guests $16 cost is per day.

Full and Half Day Programs

When schools are closed, we offer programs for school-age children including full day holidays, vacation weeks and half-day teacher in-services. Children love the structured day full of activities. And there is something for everyone including games in the gym, hikes, free play, arts and crafts, special projects, educational activities, pool time and much more!

Half Days; School dismissal – 6 p.m.
$20 Members and Guests

Full Days; 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Members $35 Guests $45

 

Snowy Day Program
Never miss work again because of snow days. Our Snowy Day Program gives working parents an option when school is cancelled due to inclement weather. Families who register for the Snowy Day Program are invited to drop their children off for a day filled with art projects, swimming, music and sports. All children must be registered in advance as space is limited.
Half Days: $20 Members and Guests
Full Days: Members $35 Guests $45

Inclement Weather Policy: The Snowy Day Program at Berkshire South Regional Community Center will be the only youth program running when Berkshire Hills Regional School District is closed due to weather.  In cases of extreme weather, it is possible the Center may close, and parents are encouraged to have a back-up plan for child care.

Action Adventures Day Camp

Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.
Entering 1st Grade – age 12. It’s not too early to begin planning for summer! Our full day programs run from the day after school lets out until the day before school starts. Join our fun-filled theme-based camp. Each week has its own theme and all integrate science, technology, engineering, arts, and math along with crafts, projects, games, group activities, swimming, sports, outdoor experiences, and field trips. Our focus is on activities that foster critical thinking and development of self-awareness, respect, tolerance, empathy, honesty, and kindness.  A sampling of this year’s themes include: Inventor’s Workshop, Symphony of the Senses, Time Travelers, Celebrate America, Going Green, Nature’s Treasures, Animals around the World, and Celebration of  Nations Registration information and the final summer schedule will be available in May.
