The Swim-A-Thon and Adaptive Initiatives at Berkshire South
Berkshire South’s adaptive needs programming strives to address the needs of all our members. We provide specially trained employees that offer classes and individualized training accessible to all and for all abilities. Berkshire South’s adaptive needs initiatives range from free swim lessons and scholarships for membership to class modifications and specialized equipment to serve members with varying levels of ability.
Berkshire South is excited to have George Wallace as our official Swim-A-Thon ambassador this year. Wallace, a Center member since childhood and a member of the adaptive needs community, hopes to encourage others both to participate in swimming and to sponsor those they know that are swimming.
YOU can make a difference and swim for a great cause! Please consider supporting our swimmers and our Adaptive Initiatives. Make a donation or sponsor a swimmer. For swimmer sponsorship, please note the swimmer’s name in the “description” box in our online form below.
How many lengths of the pool can you swim?
Berkshire South Regional Community Center is accepting applicants for their annual Swim-A-Thon fundraiser now through March 1st. Sign up to swim as an individual or as a relay team with friends or family.
Held on Saturday, March 3rd from 8 a.m., swimmers have up to 2 hours to swim up to 200 pool lengths. You DO NOT have to swim all 2 hours or 200 lengths, swim what you can! Funds raised will be used to support the purchase of significantly needed adaptive equipment at the Center.
