Action Adventures Day Camp

Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.

There’s an adventure every day for children age 5 through 14 during the summer at Berkshire South!  We offer our campers a variety of age appropriate activities, weekly field trips, and special events to make their summer unforgettable. Campers will be able to take advantage of our facilities including our playground, fields, air conditioned gym, arts & crafts room, hiking trails, and the indoor pool. The fun starts at 8am and ends at 6pm every day!

Field trips are related to the week’s theme and include: Art Museums, Butterfly Conservatory, Historical Sites, Wildlife Conservation Areas, BerkCirque, High Ropes courses and more!

Action Adventures Day Camp is proud to be a peanut, tree nut free program and that can also accommodate other food allergies.

Action Adventures Day Camp is licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. All program staff are certified in CPR and First Aid and undergo a CORI and SORI background record check.

Summer 2019 Themes

Artful Antics  June 17 – June 21
Creativity comes alive! Spend the week creating exploding art, creepy crawly crafts, painting with your feet and more silliness. Our Action Adventures Campers will get their hands dirty creating volcanic eruptions, homemade playdough, sand art and more. Don’t miss out on our paint day!

Campers VS Counselors June 24 – June 28
Action Adventure campers and counselors will face off in a variety of missions, activities and games throughout this week. This week is all about teamwork, making friends, good sportsmanship and leadership. Campers and counselors are assigned to teams and compete in fun and wacky challenges throughout the week. At the end of the week, everyone comes together as one!

Color Me Crazy July 1-3, July 5
Ready, Set, Color! Get ready to get messy in Splatter week.  Explore your creativity and imagination as we create our way through camp with hands-on projects. Tie dye tee shirts, water soaker paint tag and more.

Special Event: Camp Tie Dye Day-Friday, June 28th-Wear your tie-dye t-shirt for a big game of color tag!

Adventureland July 8 – July 12
We are going on an adventure! Come as we explore and learn all about our surroundings. Don’t know how to use a compass or read a map? Don’t fret, after countless treasure hunts, scavenger hunts and outdoor fun, you will be an expert explorer.

Eyes to the Sky July 15 – July 19
Take flight and explore the many things that fly in the sky. Investigate how wings work, make flying crafts and discover how high and how far your winged creatures can go.

Aqua Adventures July 22 – July 26
Warning: camp will be a soak zone this week! This year’s water week extravaganza will be the best yet. We will explore and enjoy all things water with balloons, slip and slides and a lot of pool time. You won’t want to forget your bathing suit and towel! 

Forts and Forests July 29 – August 2
Are you ready to venture into a land of forts and forests? Join us as we use our love of fantasy and nature to explore. Imaginative kids who are ready to create their own fantastic spaces such as structures and villages in the forest should join us.

Muck & Slime Science August 5 – August 9
Do you love ooey-gooey nature and science? Explore the wonders of sticky mud, messy nature and slimy experiments! From the kitchen to the forest to the pond, we will have fun exploring and crafting chemistry concoctions!

Growing Green August 12 – August 16
Action Adventures campers explore the natural environment and engage in activities in the sciences and arts that reinforce each days’ message such as planting trees, making art with recycled materials, visiting a local farm and planting an herb garden.

Greatest Hits August 19 – August 23
The summer may be winding down but that doesn’t mean the fun has to! Campers will enjoy the “best of” the summer, including water fun, an inflatable movie and a backyard barbeque bash.
