Grants & Development Manager:
Seeking an experienced professional to join fundraising team. This full-time position will advance our mission and strategic priorities by driving the quality and timely completion of deliverables for all grants and restricted funds, while also supporting the database management and administrative needs of the department. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Researching grant and funding opportunities in alignment with the mission and strategic vision of the organization
- Writing institutional grants and business proposals while managing all facets of the grant funding cycle to include planning, budgeting, proposal development, submissions, award notifications, systems development and tracking, financial reconciliation and reporting
- Lead administrative and data functions of the development office managing appeal mailings, donor database, donor acknowledgements, data-mining, prospect research and reporting
- Support donor cultivation and stewardship activities as well as other fundraising tactics as needed by the development office
Individual will work closely with the Director of Development & Communications, Director of Finance and the Executive Director. Must have Bachelor’s degree and proven experience in project management, institutional grant-writing and data management. Individual must be an extremely detail-oriented, organized, and systematic project manager able to keep multiple projects moving on schedule. Must have highly proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office functions and donor database management experience. Fitness Floor Trainer
Seeking a Fitness Center Floor Trainer for part-time position. Individual should be positive, have excellent customer service skills and be passionate about health and wellness. Responsibilities include orienting members to fitness equipment, upholding center policies, responding to first aid needs, cleaning equipment and ensuring a positive fitness experience for all guests. Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age and CPR/First Aid certified. FitTour certification (or equivalent) is required. FitTour Certifications can be acquired within 30 days of hire. All employees receive a membership to the Community Center.
Fitness Instructors (Substitute)
Seeking on-call, certified group fitness instructors to serve the needs of current clientele teaching cardio/med/high intensity classes. The ideal instructor should be passionate about health and wellness, ambitious, positive, and motivated to see clientele meet their fitness goals. Instructor must be certified to teach groups. Preference is given to experienced individuals who are knowledgeable about current fitness trends, can present a diverse exercise experience and who can work with all levels of ability.
Lifeguards (for the Community Center)
Positions open for multiple shifts at the Community Center. Individual will provide close supervision of swimmers, rescue swimmers who are in danger, administer first aid, rescue breathing or CPR as needed. Responsible for enforcing all pool rules and regulations and for preparing and maintaining a safe, clean aquatics center environment as part of duties. Individual will support upkeep tasks in the pool area, conduct water tests, and attend all staff training sessions. Must be responsible, and current in Lifeguard training, CPR for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid. Must be at least 16 years of age.
Lead Preschool Teacher
Berkshire South’s Sunshine Preschool program is seeking a Massachusetts’s EEC certified Lead Teacher for full time, year round position. Must have or obtain CPR & First Aid certifications.
Assistant Group Leader
For the Action Adventures Out of School Program (children kindergarten – age 14). Implement and participate in enriching activities including physical activities, outdoor play, homework help, and art projects. Applicants must be at least 18, with previous experience.
Seeking a part time gymnastics instructor to implement programming for children ages 3-12. Candidates should have gymnastics experience, the ability to perform and demonstrate skills, be comfortable teaching and spotting children in basic gymnastics skills on some gym equipment, have one to three years working with children in a recreation and/or instructional setting. USAG Certification preferred, but not required. Be willing to obtain CPR & First Aid certifications.
