Summer Staff Positions

Summer Camp Counselors – We’re looking to hire energetic, reliable counselors to provide safe and memorable experiences for day campers age 5 – 12. Counselors must be fun-loving, patient and love the outdoors. Previous experience working with school age children preferred. Must be willing to become First Aid/CPR certified. Employment runs June 25- August 24. We’re looking for dynamic high school seniors (age 17-18) and up!

 

Year Round Staff Positions

Front Desk Associate- Seeking a professional, computer-literate individual to manage all front desk responsibilities. An ideal candidate is a team player with strong multi-tasking skills that can work in a fast paced environment. You should enjoy talking with people, understand how to solve issues while maintaining a positive attitude. Experience with point-of-sale registers, basic office management and customer service is a must. Hours vary from 5:45 a.m. -8:30 p.m. Part-time position. Must be available to work some evenings, weekends and holidays.

Fitness Floor Trainer – Seeking a Fitness Center Floor Trainer for part-time position. Individual should be positive, have excellent customer service skills and be passionate about health and wellness. Responsibilities include orienting members to fitness equipment, upholding center policies, responding to first aid needs, cleaning equipment and ensuring a positive fitness experience for all guests. Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age and CPR/First Aid certified. FitTour certification (or equivalent) is required. FitTour Certifications can be acquired within 30 days of hire.  All employees receive a membership to the Community Center.

Fitness Instructors (Substitute) – Seeking on-call, certified group fitness instructors to serve the needs of current clientele teaching cardio/med/high intensity classes. The ideal instructor should be passionate about health and wellness, ambitious, positive, and motivated to see clientele meet their fitness goals. Instructor must be certified to teach groups. Preference is given to experienced individuals who are knowledgeable about current fitness trends, can present a diverse exercise experience and who can work with all levels of ability.

Lifeguards (for the Community Center) – Positions open for multiple shifts at the Community Center. Individual will provide close supervision of swimmers, rescue swimmers who are in danger, administer first aid, rescue breathing or CPR as needed. Responsible for enforcing all pool rules and regulations and for preparing and maintaining a safe, clean aquatics center environment as part of duties. Individual will support upkeep tasks in the pool area, conduct water tests, and attend all staff training sessions. Must be responsible, and current in Lifeguard training, CPR for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid. Must be at least 16 years of age.

Lead Preschool Teacher – Berkshire South’s Sunshine Preschool program is seeking a Massachusetts’s EEC certified Lead Teacher for full time, year round position. Must have or obtain CPR & First Aid certifications.

Preschool Teacher (Substitute) – EEC-qualified preschool teacher needed for occasional subbing at Berkshire South’s Sunshine Preschool. Must have or obtain CPR & First Aid certifications.

Childcare Providers – Experienced, professional child oriented people needed to provide care for infants and children in our Stay and Play program, MondayFriday.  Convenient morning or evening hours available.  Must be willing to get CPR & First Aid certified within 30 days of employment.

Assistant Group Leader – For the Action Adventures Out of School Program (children kindergarten – age 14). Implement and participate in enriching activities including physical activities, outdoor play, homework help, and art projects. Applicants must be at least 18, with previous experience.
