Director of Wellness & Recreation
The Director manages all operations and programs related to wellness including fitness, aquatics and recreation. Duties include oversight of fitness center, management of personal trainers, floor staff and class instructors for fitness and recreation programs, management of aquatics center, aquatics programs, lifeguards and swim instructors.
Bachelor’s degree required with at least five years of related experience. Must have at least three years of experience in management & administration. Individual will be expected to receive Certified Pool Operators training and Lifeguard Certification. Full-time, salaried, full benefits.
Assistant Aquatics Manager
Seeking an experienced pool person! Responsibilities include lifeguard scheduling and supervision, management of swim lessons, maintain water chemistry in accordance with state standards, and maintain appearance of pool complex. 25 hours per week. Qualifications: Experience in management, supervision, and customer service. Must hold current lifeguard certification and obtain Certified Pool Operator qualification and Water Safety Instructor certification. Aquatic Exercise Instructor certification a plus.
Assistant Fitness Manager
Responsibilities include fitness center scheduling and supervision, management of teen exercise/nutrition program, oversee regular maintenance of fitness equipment, maintain appearance of fitness center. 20 hours per week. Qualifications: Experience in fitness industry, management, supervision, and customer service. Personal training and group exercise instructor qualifications a plus.
Part-time Facilities Manager
Seeking part-time Facilities Manager for 10-20 hours/week (Saturday and Sunday shifts only / hiring for 1 day or both) Duties include cleaning, minor maintenance, room set-ups, grounds work, customer service and odd-jobs. Must be able to lift 25 lbs, stand, bend, have good work ethic, be responsible. High School Degree required.
Substitute Manager on Duty
This position has the capability of covering weekends, evenings and special event shifts during the year. The Manager on Duty will oversee the facility during operating hours ensuring a safe recreational environment at all times while on duty. This person must have: Strong leadership skills, Strong work ethic/reliable, Team Player, Customer service/able to handle & resolve problems, Maintain a professional appearance, Trustworthy, CPR/First Aid certified.
Stay and Play Childcare Provider
On-call position, 4:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesdays & Thursdays with additional opportunities to substitute as needed. Provide enriching activities for small groups of children ages 2 months through 12 years while their parents work out. First Aid and CPR certifications must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
Preschool Teacher (Substitute)
EEC-qualified preschool teacher needed 2 afternoons per week plus occasional subbing. Tuesdays & Thursdays 2:30-5:30. Must have or obtain CPR & First Aid certifications.
After School Group Leader
Seeking an After School Group Leader for our state-licensed school-age child care program. Looking for someone for 3-4 afternoons, from 3-6 p.m., each week plus full days when school is closed for holidays, in-services, and snow days. CPR & First Aid certification required within 30 days of employment.
Seeking custodian/facilities support for Community Center. Duties include cleaning, minor maintenance, room set-ups, grounds work and odd-jobs. Must be able to lift 25 lbs., stand and bend, have attention to detail, good work ethic, positive demeanor and have pleasant customer service disposition. Part-time (nights/2:30-8:30 p.m. & some weekends). 15-25 hrs./wk. High School Degree required.
Positions open for multiple shifts at the Community Center. Individual will provide close supervision of swimmers, rescue swimmers who are in danger, administer first aid, rescue breathing or CPR as needed. Responsible for enforcing all pool rules and regulations and for preparing and maintaining a safe, clean aquatics center environment as part of duties. Individual will support upkeep tasks in the pool area, conduct water tests, and attend all staff training sessions. Must be responsible, and current in Lifeguard training, CPR for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid. Must be at least 16 years of age.
Experienced, professional child-oriented people needed to provide substitute care for infants and children in our Stay and Play program and our Sunshine Preschool. Per diem with convenient morning or evening hours available. CPR & First Aid certification required within 30 days of employment.
Substitute Fitness Instructors
Berkshire South seeking on-call, certified group fitness instructors to serve the needs of current clientele teaching cardio/med/high intensity classes. The ideal instructor should be passionate about health and wellness, ambitious, positive, and motivated to see clientele meet their fitness goals. Instructor must be certified to teach groups. Preference is given to experienced individuals who are knowledgeable about current fitness trends, are able to present a diverse exercise experience and who can work with all levels of ability.
