Director of Wellness & Recreation
Seeking an experienced professional to develop, coordinate, manage and maintain all of the Center’s wellness programming. The Director of Wellness and Recreation will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the aquatic and fitness centers, parks/recreation contracts, staff training and management, general administrative duties, program tracking, which includes but is not limited to analysis, utilization, and budgeting. The Director is expected to have knowledge of the latest fitness, health and wellness trends and proactively introduce those into the Community Center. This Director interacts daily with members and guests and exhibits proactive hospitality and excellent customer service. This is a multifaceted position, reliant upon one’s ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting while maintaining excellent interpersonal skills. Bachelor’s degree required with at least three years of related experience. Successful candidates must exhibit excellent positive leadership, organization and communication/computer skills. Lifeguard certification will be required within 3 months of hire and expectation for future certification as Pool Operator. Wellness class instruction certification a plus. Lifeguards (for the Community Center)
Part time positions open for multiple shifts at the Community Center. Individual will provide close supervision of swimmers, rescue swimmers who are in danger, administer first aid, rescue breathing or CPR as needed. Responsible for enforcing all pool rules and regulations and for preparing and maintaining a safe, clean aquatics center environment as part of duties. Individual will support upkeep tasks in the pool area, conduct water tests, and attend all staff training sessions. Must be responsible, and current in Lifeguard training, CPR for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid. Must be at least 16 years of age. HR@berkshiresouth.org EOE
AR Billing and Collection Specialist Up to 20 hours per week. Candidate should have minimum of 3 years of basic office management, clerical and data entry skills including having computer and software knowledge. Custodian (part time) Looking to fill 2 part time positions, 12-32 hours/wk. for evening & weekend hours ranging from 5-10 p.m. M-F and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on weekends. Weekends required. Duties include daily detailed cleaning, grounds, room set-ups, light maintenance and trouble-shooting shift issues. Must be able to lift 50lbs, multi-task, work w/ minimal supervision, be professional & reliable. Previous custodial experience required. Front Desk Associate (part time) The Berkshire South Membership department is looking for a hardworking, engaging, professional, and adept team-centered person to help staff our Member Services Front Desk. This fast-paced position requires an individual to manage the point-of-sale register, phone lines, registration for programs, membership enrollments, and various levels of general membership inquiry. Must be available some evenings and weekends. Candidate must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent. Computer literacy and customer service experience is a must.
