Supplemental Holiday Program
Give Joy This Holiday Season!
The Shining Star Supplemental Holiday Program provides an opportunity for community members to purchase gifts for other southern Berkshire residents who could use some additional support during the holiday season.
*All information is kept strictly confidential.
Applicants for support (Stars) send in a holiday wishlist. The Star recipient is then anonymously matched with a generous community donor who fulfills their wishlist! For children, this is in the form of gifts. Stars who are teens and young adults receive gift cards to their store of choice. We also accept monetary donations and a member of our team will do the shopping for you!

Applications for support are submitted to Berkshire South by the primary parent or guardian. After September 30, all completed applications are reviewed, with this year’s group of Shining Stars identified by mid-October.Â

We’ve made several important updates to our 2025 application process. These changes are designed to add transparency and consistency, and make the program more equitable for everyone.

Gift Recipient Application Window is Open: September 2, 2025
Gift Recipient Application Window Closes: September 30, 2025
Shopper Sign-Up Opens: October 20, 2025
Gift Drop-Off Deadline: December 1, 2025
Recipient PICK UP: Scheduled for Thursday, December 11 and Friday, December 12 between 8:30am-5:30pm
Please Note: This program is available to South County residents only. We are unable to accept incomplete or late applications (submitted after September 30)
