Supplemental Holiday Program

Give Joy This Holiday Season!

The Shining Star Supplemental Holiday Program invites community members to purchase gifts for southern Berkshire residents who need support during the holiday season. *All information is kept strictly confidential.

Applicants for support (Stars) send in a holiday wishlist. The Star recipient is  then anonymously matched with a generous community donor who fulfills their wishlist! For children, this is in the form of gifts. Stars who are teens and young adults receive gift cards to their store of choice. We also accept monetary donations and a member of our team will do the shopping for you!

If you would like to be paired with a Star and help bring joy to Berkshire families this holiday season, click the Shopper Sign-Up link below or fill out a form in person at Berkshire South.

Applications for support are submitted to Berkshire South by the primary parent or guardian. After September 30, all completed applications are reviewed and the 2026 group of Shining Stars will be notified by mid-October. 

Accepted Shining Star recipients are then anonymously matched with one or more generous community donors who fulfill their wishlist. For children, this is in the form of gifts. Stars who are teens and young adults receive gift cards to their store of choice. We also welcome monetary donations, and a member of our team will do the shopping for you!

We’ve made several important updates to our 2025 application process. These changes are designed to add transparency and consistency, and make the program more equitable for everyone.

Important Dates:

  • Gift Recipient Applications Open: September 1, 2026

  • Gift Recipient Applications Close: September 30, 2026

  • Shopper Sign-Up Opens: October 19, 2026

  • Gift Drop-Off Deadline: December 1, 2026

  • Gift Recipient PICK UP: December 10 and December 12,  from 8:30 am-5:30 pm

Please Note: This program is available to South County residents only. We are unable to accept incomplete or late applications (submitted after September 30)
