Interim AADC Camp Director
Action Adventures Day Camp is seeking a dynamic interim Camp Director to lead our summer 2025 program while the sitting Director is on maternity leave. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, dependable, tech-savvy, problem-solver dedicated to the well-being of our campers, staff, and organization. Applicants must have two seasons of camp leadership experience or have completed or are willing to complete the Camping Administration Course. Applicants must be ages 21+ and available to work fulltime, Monday through Friday from March 2025 to September 2025.
The interim Camp Director will provide leadership, vision, and day-to-day operational management including camper and staff recruitment and management, programming, safety and licensing compliance, communication with families, and facility oversight. You’ll guide a community of 16+ staff and 70 enthusiastic campers through our 9-week camp session.
Head Counselor
Head Counselors will actively assist the Director with program planning, camper management, and day-to-day camp logistics. They will also work with a large group of campers to provide a fun, safe, inclusive, and exciting camp experience while supervising a team of counselors in a supportive manner. Must be available from 8:00am-5:00pm from June 16 through August 22.
Other Head Counselor Responsibilities
- Greet families and campers upon arrival and orientate them to camp
- Establish rules with campers and staff and review emergency procedures
- Manage parent expectations and converse with parents at pick-up and drop-off times
- Assist the Director in managing any non-staff issues that may arise including camper behavior issues, parent complaints, etc.
Day Camp Counselor
Counselors will lead many activities, including arts and crafts, athletics, group games, and more. Applicants must be at least 16 years old and able to communicate with children ages 5-14 of differing skill levels. Counselors must be available to work from 8:00am-5:00pm from June 16th through August 22nd.

Part Time Positions
Fitness Floor Attendant
Part-time position available for Fitness Floor Attendant. Attendants must be able to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays. The successful candidate will be hardworking, welcoming, professional, and team-oriented. Prior customer service experience preferred. Applicants must have a general knowledge of correct fitness form and in-depth knowledge of how fitness equipment functions. This includes being able to make simple adjustments to machines when issues arise.
Duties Include:
- maintaining a safe and friendly environment in the fitness room and gymnasium
- assisting members with fitness equipment and cleaning equipment as needed.
- remaining available for questions and maintaining vigilance throughout the shift.
- occasionally assisting people who become injured while in the fitness area. In this scenario, Attendants must be able to calmly and confidently handle the situation quickly and efficiently.
Community Supper Coordinator
Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of biweekly Community Supper meals. Responsible for overseeing pantry inventory, managing kitchen staff and scheduling, assisting in food preparation, and maintaining health and safety standards. The Coordinator is also responsible for shopping and developing biweekly menus in collaborating with chefs and management.
Qualifications
- Experience working as a chef and leading a team
- Able to maintain quality control with a strong attention to detail
- ServSafe Certified
Pay: $20.00/hour
5 -10 hours /week: flexible schedule, must be available biweekly on Mondays from 10am-6pm.
Out of School Staff
Our Action Adventures After School & Out of School program supports families and their children with enrichment activities and learning opportunities after the normal school day. We are looking for staff to work with our Kindergarten – 14 year old students as they transition from school to home. Care is offered until pick up at 5:30PM, Monday through Friday. You will help lead students in a variety of activities such as: art/crafts, swimming, reading, homework completion and other fun activities. This part-time position will include school closure days, vacation weeks and half days. The ideal candidate will also be able to work through the summer months as a camp counselor.
LIFEGUARDS
Part-time positions open for multiple shifts at Berkshire South Aquatics Center.
Individuals will provide close supervision of swimmers, rescue swimmers who are in danger, administer first aid, rescue breathing or CPR as needed. Responsible for enforcing all pool rules and waterfront regulations and for preparing and maintaining a safe, clean environment as part of duties. Individuals will support upkeep tasks in the pool, conduct water tests of pools, and attend all staff training sessions. Guards will be expected to work indoor shifts in addition to outdoors, if the option is available. Potential for long-term employment based on availability. Shifts available from 4-30 hours per week.

SUNSHINE PRESCHOOL ASSISTANT TEACHER
Seeking a Preschool Assistant Teacher for BSRCC’s EEC Sunshine Preschool program. Preference given to applicants with an EEC Teaching Certificate. The teacher’s primary responsibility is to provide a developmentally appropriate, high-quality early childhood experience to the students, ages 2.9 to 5, enrolled in Sunshine Preschool. Applicants must have the ability to work well with a team and meet the individual needs of the children.
Requirements:
– Available 10 am to 3 pm Monday- Friday. With the potential to become a full-time position. The position starts immediately.
– Must be 16 years +
– Have completed or are currently enrolled in high school or equivalent
– Must have or be willing to get First Aid and CPR Certified
– Must pass background check CORI SORI & fingerprinting
TEMPORARY FACILITIES SUPERVISOR POSITION
Seeking experienced and responsible individual to help lead the facilities team for a temporary part-time schedule; starting immediately into October. Schedule is Mon-Fri, 3pm -9:30pm. Duties include detailed operational set-ups and break-downs of equipment, grounds care, and project based work including painting, cleaning and staff oversight. Must have reliable transportation and be able to lift 50lbs, push, pull and operate simple machinery, work with minimal supervision, and be professional & reliable. Individual will be expected to act at Manager on Duty and will support response to emergency and customer service situations as needed.

Membership Representative
Part-time position open for front desk shifts within the Membership Department. The successful candidate will be hardworking, welcoming, professional, and a team-oriented person.
This position involves:
- managing the point-of-sales system & phone lines
- registering participants for programs and enrolling members
- handling general membership inquiries
Computer literacy and customer service experience are desirable. This position is part-time, approximately 10-15 hours per week. Availability for weekday closing shifts (until 8:30pm) and weekends is highly desired
