OVERVIEW

Berkshire South is where kids can learn and grow in mind and body! The variety of programs we offer mean that kids with all sorts of interests can explore and experience in a fun environment! Programs engage kids in creative activities that build artistic and academic skills, develop discipline, problem-solving and decision-making skills, and a sense of achievement and self-esteem.

Ballet 1

Ages 7 – 9 

Mondays, November 4th – December 9th

Young dancers will learn basic ballet positions, terminology, and techniques while exploring creativity and expression in a supportive environment. Each session includes a dynamic mix of warm-ups, across-the-floor exercises, and creative movement to nurture both skill development and artistic exploration. *Parent or guardian required.

Connect, get movin’, and dance together! Come join us for a fun dance session groovin’ to a variety of music in a positive and welcoming environment. This program is for parents, grandparents, caregivers, friends, and family to connect and dance together with their child/children of any age. 

*A parent/guardian is required to participate.

This is a drop in class. Registration is welcome but not required. The class fee covers one child and their parent/guardian.

Beginners Ballet for Toddlers

Ages 2 & 3

Tuesdays, January 21st – February 25th, 2025

Through gentle exercises and imaginative play, little ones will explore the basics of ballet in a nurturing environment. Colorful props paired with enchanting music will spark their imagination and foster their love for dance.

Youth Ballet 2 - Intermediate

Ages 5 – 7

Wednesdays, January 22nd – February 26th, 2025

This class elevates students’ ballet skills by deepening their understanding and enhancing their imagination. Children will develop coordination, spatial awareness, flexibility, rhythm, and fundamental dance techniques in a positive and encouraging atmosphere.

Creative Movement

with Sarah Daunt

Ages 3-5

Mondays, February 10th – March 17th, 2025

Introduce your child to the work of dance through exploratory movement, games, and rhythmic activities. They will also strengthen their physical abilities, develop spatial awareness, and cultivate an understanding of the classroom environment.

Family Winter Wilderness Adventure

with Tes Reed
