OVERVIEW
Berkshire South is where kids can learn and grow in mind and body! The variety of programs we offer mean that kids with all sorts of interests can explore and experience in a fun environment! Programs engage kids in creative activities that build artistic and academic skills, develop discipline, problem-solving and decision-making skills, and a sense of achievement and self-esteem.

Toddler Irish Dance
Ages: 3–5Â

Toddlers explore Irish Dance (Tir Na Nog) through play and body awareness while developing coordination, movement, posture, balance, muscle strength, rhythm, timing, social skills, and confidence. Throughout the class, instructor Deirdre Walger, a lifelong Irish dancer, uses parachutes, dance scarves, stretchy bands, floor ladders, musical instruments, balance beams, stepping stones, hula hoops, tunnels for obstacle courses, jumping hurdles, and of course Irish dance music.
*Parents/guardians are not allowed to stay in the room during the class.
Community Sound Lab
Ages: 13–19

In collaboration with Berkshire Music School (BMS), join professional musician and BMS faculty Jim Wojtaszek for a fun, collaborative band experience. Teens are invited to come develop ensemble skills while playing with others in a supportive setting. Guitar, bass, drums, keys, vocals, sax, and other instruments are welcome. Bring your own equipment.Â
This 8-week workshop will conclude with a band performance at Berkshire South on December 17.
