The Infant/Toddler Room at Berkshire South is our year-round, state-licensed program serving families in Great Barrington and the surrounding Southern Berkshires.
We provide nurturing, responsive infant and toddler childcare for children ages 12 to 33 months. Our experienced early childhood educators offer close supervision, individualized attention, and consistent routines that help young children feel safe, supported, and ready to explore.
Families choose our infant and toddler program for its balance of structure, warmth, and developmentally appropriate care during these important early years.
The Infant/Toddler Room is a peanut, tree nut-free program that can accommodate other food allergies.

Childcare Rates and Benefits
Weekly Rates
Berkshire South’s Infant and Toddler Care is a 5-day per week program, open 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, with early drop off available. While you may opt to send your child for less than five days, the full 5-day rate must be paid:
- Toddlers (15–33 months): $375 per week
- Infants (12–14 months): $475 per week
Early drop off is available at 7:30 am:
- $10/day for children who attend 5 days per week
- $12/day for children who attend less than 5 days per week

Annual commitment is required for enrollment. Any changes must be made in writing and will only be recognized after a 30 day period. During the 30 day period, the director will review the request and make a final determination. Account credits, if approved, will be made at the sole discretion of Berkshire South. Sick, snow or cancelled days will not be credited. The Infant/Toddler Room is closed on the following holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. Financial Assistance is available through the Judy Spencer Scholarships for Early Childhood.
